Summit Partners Invests $100M In AVAST
Private equity firm Summit Partners has invested $100M in European antivirus maker AVAST Software, AVAST said today. As part of the minority funding, Scott Collins of Summit Partners will join AVAST's board of directors. Summit develops a "freemium" virus protection software.
