Homejoy Shuts Down
San Francisco-based Homejoy, an on-demand provider of maid and cleaning services, is shutting down, the company told its users today. Homejoy apparently had failed to raise a new round of funding, and also has been battling a number of work classification lawsuits. Homejoy said on its website that it will be closing on July 31st. The company got its start as Pathjoy.
