Intel Backs Almalence For Image Processing Technology
Santa Clara-based Intel has backed Almalence, a developer of computation imaging technology, via Intel Capital. According to Almalence, it received an investment from Intel Capital to help it develop software algorithms to increase quality of images from digital SLR cameras. Size of the investment was not disclosed. Almalence is based in Austin, Texas, but has its R&D efforts in Novosibirsk, Russia.
