San Francisco-based
Fountain, the startup founded by Mint.com's Aaron Patzer, has been acquired by home services marketplace
Porch.com. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Porch.com will set up a new office in San Francisco as a result of the acquisition. Fountain's service used natural language search, artificial intelligence, and other techniques to help connect homeowners with home services professionals. Patzer will not be joining Porch, but will become an "active product advisor" for the service. Porch is venture backed by Battery Ventures, Capricorn Investment Group, Founders Fund, Lowe's, Panorama Point Partners, SV Angel, Valor Equity Partners as well as a long list of Silicon Valley angel investors.
