San Francisco-based
Align Commerce Corp., a developer of blockchain-based, international payment systems aimed at the small business market, has raised $12.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and also included SVB Ventures, Recruit Venture Partners, Pantera Capital, Digital Currency Group, and FS Venture Capital. Align Commerce helps small businesses with cross border financial transactions and payments, and uses the Bitcoin blockchain technology as its underlying engine.
