Diffbot, a developer of artificial intelligence software and data extraction tools, said Thursday that it has raised $10M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Tencent and Felicis Ventures, and also included Andy Bechtolsheim (Sun Microsystems), Amplify Ventures, Valor Capital, Bill Lee (SpaceX and Tesla), and Georges Harik (Google). Diffbot offers up APIs that allow artificial intelligence software developers to extract and parse content from web pages, and extracts data from images, text, and other sources.
