San Francisco-based
Niantic, a Google spinout which is developing a mobile game based on Pokemon which combines both mobile gameplay with real-life interaction, has raised $5M in a seed funding, the company disclosed this week. The funding came from Alsop Louie, David Jones (Havas), Fuji Television, Lucas Nealan, and Cyan and Scott Banister. Gilman Louie of Alsop Louie joins the company's board along with the funding.
