Innovium Gets $50M For Data Center Networking Chips
San Jose-based Innovium, a developer of semiconductors aimed at use in enterprise, networking infrastructure for the next generation, data center market, has raised $50M in a funding round, the company said today. The funding included a Series A in the first quarter of 2015, and a Series B which occurred late last year. The Series A came from Walden Riverwood Ventures and Capricorn Investment Group, with participation from S-Cubed Capital and Qualcomm Incorporated, and the Series B was led by Greylock, with the others also participating. Innovium is led by Rajiv Khemani, and says its founders have experience from Broadcom, Cavium, Cisco, Dell, Ericsson, Intel and Juniper.
