Gainspeed a developer of hardware used by cable operators to transition from analog to IP video and data, has been acquired by
Nokia, according to the companies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The two said Gainspeed will become part of Nokia's Fixed Networks business. Gainspeed was founded in 2012, has approximately 70 employees, and was backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Juniper Networks, New Enterprise Associates, Shasta Ventures, among others.
