Cisco Seeks Cybersecurity Talent With $10M Scholarship Program
San Jose-base Cisco said Tuesday that it is looking to help increase the global pool of talent in the cybersecurity area, by launching a new, $10M scholarship program for certification efforts in that area. According to Cisco, the new investment comes due to an expected shortage of around two million, cybersecurity professionals by 2019. The company said the new program and scholarship specifically will offer training, mentoring and certification aligned with the role of Security Operations Center Analyst.
