Valor Water Analytics Scoops Up $1.6M
San Francisco-based Valor Water Analytics, which develops software used by utilities to manage water resources, has raised $1.6M in a funding round, according to the company. The funding as led by Shore Ventures, and also included Apsara Capital, Syzygy West, Urban Innovation Fund and 500 Startups. Valor Water's technology was developed at the Environmental Finance Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The company's software includes products to help utilities target specific users for conservation outreach; help analyze and identify distressed customers; simulate water rate changes; and more.
