Redwood City-based
Upthere, a startup developing a cloud-based, personal storage service to share and store photos, videos, music, and othe files, has raised $77M in a funding round. The round was led by KPCB and Western Digital, and also included Elevation Partners, Floodgate, GV, NTT Docomo Ventures, and Square 1 Bank. Upthere is led by Chris Bourdon, and apparently is aiming at the current limitations on capacity problems with current cloud-based storage services.
