Hoodline Acquired By Ripple
San Francisco-based Hoodline, a startup in the hyper-local news space, has been acquired by fellow San Francisco news startup Ripple, the two companies disclosed yesterday. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Hoodline was backed by Sherpa Ventures and angels. Hoodline had focused on San Francisco news, broken down by neighborhood and relying on local community contributors.
