Google Rolls Out Android Auto To Anyone
For users with a car which doesn't support Android Auto's auto information systems--the Google project to offer up turn-by-turn directions, music streaming, and hands-free messaging--Google said this morning that
it will now offer up those services on smartphones
, in addition to built-in car information systems. Google said Android Auto can automatically start when the phone is paired with your car's built-in Bluetooth connection, or Bluetooth-supported car mounts. Google said the new phone support gives users "the key stuff you need on the road ― directions, music, communications ― without the distraction of things that aren't essential while driving."
