Cyberfend Acquired By Akamai
Santa Clara-based Cyberfend, which develops bot detection software to fend off the use of stolen credentials and passwords, has been acquired by Akamai, the companies announced this morning. Financial details of the all-cash deal were not announced. Cyberfend was backed by Y Combinator and other investors. Akamai said the deal is not material. Akamai said the buy will strengthen its existing bot management and mitigation services.
