Kinestral, which develops "smart" tinting glass, has raised $65M in a Series C funding, the company said on Tuesday. The funding came from AGC Asahi Glass, Hermes-Epitek, 5AM Ventures, Alexandria Venture Investments, Capricorn Investment Group, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, and Versant Ventures. AGC Asahi Glass has added Jean-François Heris, president of AGC Building and Industrial Glass Company, to Kinestral's board as part of the funding.
