Kinestral Collects $100M For Smart Glass Technology
Hayward, California-based Kinestral, a developer of "smart" glass which can electronically tint from clear to neutral shades of gray, said on Wednesday that it has raised $100M in a Series D funding. The funding was led by SK Holdings, and also included current investors 5AM Ventures, Alexandria Real Estate, Capricorn Investment Group and Versant Ventures. Kinestral said the funding will go towards expanding manufacturing, sales, and installation of its smart-tinting glass. Kinestral is led by CEO S.B. Cha.
