Menlo Park-based
LeoLabs, which is developing a commercial service to track space debris, and prevent collisions of satellites with junk in low Earth orbit (LEO), has raised $4M in a funding. The company said this morning that the funding came from SRI International, Horizons Ventures, and Airbus Ventures. The company is led by Dan Ceperley, and uses ground-based radar for tracking that orbiting space junk, allowing satellite operators to steer those satellites out of harm's way, when necessary.
