Deep Space Industries Acquired By Bradford Space Group
San Jose-based Deep Space Industries, which was founded as an asteroid mining venture but is now focused on developing its own space propulsion technology, said on Wednesday that it has been acquired by Bradford Space, a space systems manufacturers with locations in the Netherlands and Sweden. Financial details of the buy were not announced. According to the two, DSI will become Bradford's first "substantial" U.S. presence. Depp Space Industries develops the "Comet" water-based propulsion system, which it says already have been deployed into four spacecraft operated by Capella Space and HawkEye 360.
