Turvo Takes $25M To Tackle Shipping Logistics
Sunnyvale-based Turvo, a developer of logistics software for the shipping industry, has raised $25M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Activant Capital, along with Upside Partnership, Slow Ventures and Tony Fadell, plus Aaron Levie (Box), Kevin Nazemi (Renew.com), Ravi Venkatesan (Bank of Baroda, Microsoft India). Turvo says it is developing a real-time, collaborative logistics platform connecting shippers, brokers, and carriers. The company is led by CEO and co-founder Eric Gilmore.
