San Francisco-based
Eero, the maker of a mesh, Wi-Fi networking system for the home, has been acquired by Seattle-based
Amazon, the two companies said on Monday afternoon. The buy is the latest in Amazon purchasing its own hardware company, which recently acquired wireless doorbell maker Ring. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Eero said becoming part of Amazon will enable it to bring its systems to more customers around the globe. Nick Weaver is Co-Founder and CEO of eero, which was venture backed by Index Ventures, First Round Capital, Shasta Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Playground Global, and others.
