Zinc, a developer of communications tools specifically aimed at industries like field service, construction, hospitality, and healthcare, said it raised $11M in a funding round on Monday, led by GE Ventures. The funding also included Hearst Ventures, Emergence Capital, and CRV. The deal also includes a collaboration with GE Digital on providing its mobile communications platform to GE's approximately 100,000 deskless workers. Zinc's CEO is Stacey Epstein.
