Orbital Insight Gets $50M In Series C
Palo Alto-based Orbital Insight, a developer of artificial intelligence software used for geospatial analysis, has raised $50M in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by Sequoia Capital, an existing investor in the company, and also included new investors Envision Ventures, Balyasny Asset Management, Geodesic Capital, ITOCHU Corporation, and Intellectus Partners, plus GV, Lux Capital and CME Ventures. Orbital Insight's software is used to automatically analyze the vast volume of satellite imagery which is now available daily.
