Pattern Insight Sells Product Line, Team to VMware
Mountain View-based Pattern Insight, a developer of data mining and search tools, said Tuesday afternoon that it has sold its Log Insight product, team, and technology to VMware. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. Pattern Insight's Log Insight product is used for analyzing large amounts of log and machine-generated data in the data center. Pattern Insight is venture backed by Venture Investors, John Lovitt and Dr. Kai Li. The company said it would separately continue to support and expand its Code Insight product, used for analyzing source code.
