WinView Wins $12M For Second Screen, Sports Predication Games
San Francisco-based WinView, a developer of second-screen, live TV apps used for sports predictions, has raised $12M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Graham Holdings Company, Discovery Communications, Ted Leonsis' Monumental Sports & Entertainment and LionTree Partners. WinView is led by Executive Chairman Tom Rogers. WinView said it will use the funding to further develop and market its apps for professional sports, including baseball, basketball and football (MLB, NBA and NFL).
