StrongLoop Lands $8M For Mobile Enterprise APIs

, a developer of open source, mobile APIs used for connecting enterprise data with mobile applications, said today that it has raised $8M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Shasta Ventures and Ignition Partners. According to the company, the funds will go towards expanding engineering, product and marketing efforts. Shasta's Jason Pressman and Ignition's Nick Sturiale join the company's board with the funding; the company also added Isaac Roth (formerly of Red Hat) as its CEO.
