Orion Labs said on Wednesday that it has raised $18.25M in funding for its voice communications platform. The funding was led by Allen & Company LLC, and also included Argentum, The Thermo Companies (the investment vehicle of Globalstar CEO Jay Monroe), John Kelly (former CEO of Crown Castle), Joshua Schachter, along with Avalon Ventures, Motorola Solutions, Fuel Capital, David Recordon (former Director of White House IT and Facebook Engineering Director), James Lindenbaum (founder of Heavybit & Heroku), and others. Orion Labs' founders are CEO Jesse Robbins and CTO Greg Albrecht.
