Averon, a developer of mobile identity verification software, has raised $8.3M in a Series A funding, the company said Tuesday. The funding was led by Avalon Ventures. Averon develops a mobile identity system which uses real time, mobile network information--including SIM cares and location--to provide secure user verification for banking and ecommerce, fraud prevention, smart vehicles and homes, blockchain and IoT devices. Averon's CEO and Chairman is Wendell Brown.
