Averon Finds $5M For Mobile Identity
San Francisco-based Averon, a developer of mobile identity verification software, has raised $5M in a Series A1 funding round. The funding was led by Avalon Ventures, and also included Salesforce founder and CEO Marc Benioff. The company says it has now raised $13.3M in total. Averon's co-founder and CEO is Wendell Brown. Averon says it uses mobile network signaling and hardware in smartphones for its mobile identity software.
