Accompany Acquired By Cisco For $270M
San Jose-based Cisco said Tuesday that it will acquire Los Altos-based Accompany, a company developing artificial intelligence software to help sales people find new prospects, and help in the selling process. Cisco said it will pay $270M in cash plus assumed equity awards for Accompany. Accompany's founder and CEO, Amy Chang, joins Cisco as Senior Vice President in charge of its Collaboration Technology Group.
