Jelli Acquired By iHeartMedia
San Mateo-based Jelli, a developer of technology for programmatic advertising on radio, has been acquired by New York-based broadcaster iHeartMedia, the two said this week. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Jelli was venture backed by iHeartMedia, Universal Music Group, Relay Ventures, Intel Capital, and First Round Capital. iHeartRadio said that Jelli's platform is "pioneering technology" for powering the programmatic buying and selling of broadcast radio ads. Michael Dougherty is co-founder and CEO of Jelli. The companies said that Jelli will remain headquartered in Silicon Valley.
