Phiar, a startup developing augmented reality navigation apps which overlay navigation information over actual images of the road for drivers, has raised $3M in a funding round, the company said this week. The seed funding round was co-led by the Venture Reality Fund and Norwest Venture Partners, annd also included Anorak Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Zeno Ventures, Cross Culture Ventures, GFR Fund, Y Combinator, Innolinks Ventures and Half Court Ventures. The company said it uses machine learning, computer vision, and deep learning to power its app.
