Atlassian Acquires AgileCraft For $166M
San Francisco-based Atlassian Corporation Plc has acquired Georgetown, Texas-based AgileCraft, a developer of software used to manage the Agile software development process, in a deal worth $166M, the companies said Monday afternoon. According to the companies the deal was split between $154M in cash and the remainder in Atlassian retricted shares. According to Atlassian, the deal is expected to add approximately $1M to $2M to its revenue in fiscal 2019. AgileCraft was backed by Crane Nelson, the private equity investment firm of Houston Astros owner Jim Crane.
