Scope AR Finds $9.7M For Augmented Reality Tools
San Francisco-based Scope AR, which is developing augmented reality software aimed at helping guide workers through tasks, has raised $9.7M in a Series A funding, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Romulus Capital, and also included SignalFire, Susa Ventures, Haystack, New Stack Ventures, North American Corporation and Angel List. Scope AR's tools use augmented reality to help offer guided assistance to workers on tasks, overlaying information and instructions on the real world through AR goggles and headsets. As part of the funding, the company says that Romulus Capital's Krishna Gupta and SignalFire's Wayne Hu both join the company's board. Scope AR is led by CEO and co-founder Scott Montgomerie.
