Riverbed Buys Expand Networks
San Francisco-based Riverbed said today that it has acquired the assets of Expand Networks, an Israeli firm that develops WAN optimization and acceleration tools. Riverbed said the asset acquisition was out of liquidation, and did not include any of Expand's liabilities, obligations or contracts. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Riverbed said it would work with former Expand customers to explore upgrade opportunities for those customers, and would also allow them to purchase technical support on their existing products.
