Xyratex Buys Ario Data Assets
Havant, UK-based Xyratex said Tuesday that the firm has agreed to acquire assets from Ario Data Network. Xyratex said it is acquiring intellectual property, capital assets, and the Ario Data Networks team. Ario develops RAID controllers for SATA and SAS disk drive systems. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Ario was backed by Anthem Ventures, Clearstone Venture Partners, Evercore, Mellon Ventures, Partech, and Susino Funds.
