Santa Clara-based Provigent, a developer of system-on-a-chip (SoC) products, said Thursday that it has added $1M to the firm's fourth round of funding. The additional capital came from Stata Venture Partners. Ray State, who was founder and chairman of Analog Devices, has joined the company's board as part of the funding. The additional capital comes on top of a $16M round announced in March. Other investors in the firm include Sequoia Capital, Pitanog Venture Capital, Globespan, Ascend Technology Ventures, Magma Venture Partners, Delta Ventures, and Dr. Andrew Viterbi, co-founder of QUALCOMM.
