Provigent Acquired By Broadcom
Santa Clara-based Provigent, a venture backed developer of high performance, mixed signal semiconductor for the microwave backhaul market, has been acquired by Broadcom. Broadcom said it would pay $313M net of cash for Provigent. Provigent was venture backed by Ascend Technology Ventures, Delta Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, Lightspeed Ventures, Magnum Communications Fund, Pitango Venture Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Stata Venture Partners.
