Oracle Invests In Sophoi
Oracle has invested in Sophoi, a developer of enterprise intellectual property management software, the firm said Wednesday afternoon. Redwood Shores-based Oracle said that the deal came in the form of a strategic minority investment. Sophoi and Oracle announced a partnership last month provide to the media and entertainment industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however a source close to the deal told silicontap.com that the investment was worth $17.5M. Oracle said it will appoint two individuals to Sophoi's board of directors as part of the investment.
