eBay Rolls API
San Jose-based auction site eBay said today at the eBay Developers Conference that it has rolled out a number of platform extensions targeted at its community of third party developers. The new services allow software developers to connect into search, bidding, and alerts, and also add Flash and JavaScript interfaces. eBay is targeting what it says is a community of 50,000 third party developers who are looking to build and monetize new applications for the company's site.
