Virtual PBX Acquires Open Communication Systems
San Jose-based Virtual PBX, a developer of a hosted PBX service, said today that it has acquired San Francisco-based Open Communications Systems (OCS). OCS is a developer of open source, group communications and conferencing products. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Virtual PBX said the acquisition will give it access to OCS' cross-platform telecommunications environment and expertise, which will be added to its Virtual PBX product line.
