Mountain View-based Synopsys said this morning that it has completed its acquisition of the semiconductor intellectual property of MOSAID Technologies. The deal was worth $15.3M. Synopsys is acquiring MOSAID's double data rate (DDR) memory controller and PHY semiconductor IP products, and will integrate it into its portfolio of products. MOSAID has been looking for a buyer of the firm since last September, when it engaged an investment bank.
