SiRF, Intel In Joint Development Deal
San Jose-based SiRF Technology holdings said today that its subsidiary, SiRF Technology, has signed a license and joint development agreement with Intel Corporation. SiRF said that it is working with the microprocessor firm on future product platforms, to co-develop certain feature products for Intel's mobile platforms. According to SiRF, the deal includes licensing of certain technology to Intel, along with joint marketing and selling of those products globally for use in mobile devices. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SiRF is a developer of semiconductor and software products based on GPS.
