San Jose-based SiRF Technology Holdings, a developer of GPS-based semiconductors, and CSR, a developer of Bluetooth chips, said today that the firms are merging in a stock-for-stock transaction. According to the firms, the deal is worth approximately $136M, with SiRF stockholders receiving 0.741 CSR shares for each share of SiRF common stock they own. The firms said the merger will create a company with "significant commercial, operational, and technical scale."
