Sun Microsystems Switches Ticker To JAVA
Santa Clara-based Sun Microsystems said this morning that it will change its Nasdaq stock ticker symbol to JAVA, after the firm's flagship software language, from the firm's current SUNW symbol. Sun said the change will go into effect on Monday. Sun said that the change in its ticker symbol will more effectively connect the firm with the marketplace.
