HP Buys MacDermid ColorSpan
Palo Alto-based HP said today that it has acquired MacDermid ColorSpan, a manufacturer of wide-format digital inkjet printers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. MacDermid ColorSpan is based in Minnetonka, Minn., and develops inkjet printers used for display graphics and sign making. The acquisition will be the first move by HP into the sign shop and quick printing market. MacDermid ColorSpan will become part of HP's Imaging and Printing Group.
