Caligari Acquired By Microsoft
Mountain View-based Caligari, a developer of 3D modeling and animation software tools, has been acquired by Microsoft. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Caligari, which was founded in 1986, develops trueSpace, a 3D modeling and rendering tool which was originally developed for the Amiga.
