Macrovision Sells Games Business
Santa Clara-based Macrovision, which develops a wide range of software for the installation, online publishing, digital home entertainment, and other industries, said late Thursday that it is in an agreement to sell its games business. Financial deals of the sale were not disclosed. The sale was announced as part of the firm's quarterly earnings. Macrovision recently acquired All Media Guide Holdings, and is in the process of acquiring Gemstar-TV Guide.
