Menlo Park- and Lexington, Mass-based venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners said this morning that it has hired on John Palfrey as a Venture Executive at the firm. Palfrey is a Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, and also serves as Executive Director of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. Highland said that Palfrey will work with the firm's existing companies, and also help to identify the next generation of market leaders for the firm. Highland is a $3B venture firm investing in communications, consumer, digital media, healthcare and information technology companies.
