Menlo Park-based Highland Capital Partners has purchased US SEARCH.com, the consumer business of Florida-based First Advantage. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. First Advantage said that acquisition will add to Highland's portfolio of digital media enterprises and allow it to focus on its core business offerings. The firm's US SEARCH.com unit is based in Los Angeles, and provides people search services, background information, and other public records including criminal records and marriage/divorce information.
